How we pick

1. Start from the job. Each guide starts from what a desk needs done, like labeling, shipping, seating or printing.
2. Shortlist from published sources. Several guides draw on published reviews (Wirecutter, PCMag, LabelHQ and others). Each guide links the reviews it uses.
3. Check the listing. We read each product's Amazon listing and manufacturer page for features, sizes and capacity, and we say where each spec comes from.
4. Sort by who it suits. Every product gets a "best for", a "buy if" and a "skip if".

What we never do

• No paid placements.
• No made-up ratings, test scores or review counts.
• No prices on the page, since Amazon prices change. We link to today's price instead.
• No specs we couldn't find published.
• No fake testimonials.
